**CMP I.B.M. Corp. U.S. M1 Carbine
World War II, Korean War

.30 Carbine. 17.75" barrel length. SN: 3922933. Parkerized metal finish set in low wood walnut semi pistol grip stock with Type II adjustable rear sight and Type III barrel band/bayonet lug. Short stroke piston driven semi automatic rifle with rotating bolt fed by detachable double stack magazines. Receiver is struck with I.B.M. CORP. marking and standard model and caliber marks. Barrel likewise struck I.B.M. CORP. behind the front sight. Low wood stock mounts a four rivet handguard. Item features a round bolt and rotating safety catch. Left butt struck with partial {Star/FA/6} rearsenal marking. Wrist stenciled 523. Item comes with a CMP checklist, CMP owner's manual, and a reprint of the WWII operator's manual. Lacks magazine.
