Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Item mounts adjustable tangent rear notch and inverted-V front blade sights. Barrel shank is struck with the {Arrow in Triangle} mark of the Izhevsk arsenal, the Soviet {Sickle and Hammer} mark, and a date of 1937. Item shows matching serial numbers on the bolt and magazine floorplate. Buttplate is not numbered, and the cocking piece shows an older pattern of {Bow with Arrow} marking indicating it was replaced with the rifle was rearsenaled.
