**1944 Dated Tula Arsenal Model 91/59 Mosin Nagant Carbine
World War II

7.62x54mmR. 20.2" barrel length. SN: VP2098 (Cyrillic). Blued metal arsenal refinish with polished bolt in Birchwood straight wrist stock with full length upper handguard mounting adjustable tangent rear notch and front post and globe sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Item shows the {Arrow in Star} marking of the Tula Arsenal to the receiver above a date of 1944. Barrel shank further shows the 1891/59 marking, indicating the rifle was converted to carbine after the end of World War II. Item shows some scattered Soviet inspection and arsenal marks. Serial numbers match on barrel shank, bolt, magazine floorplate, and buttplate. Comes with Soviet pattern canvas dog collar sling with weak Cyrillic production marks.
