**Walther Model 4 Pistol Type 2 by F.W. Kessler
World War I
7.65mm. 3.5" barrel length. SN: 137756. Blued metal finish mounting checkered black syntthetic grips featuring Carl Walther initial monograms. Simple blowback operated internal hammer fired autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Item mounts military pattern drift adjustable rear notch and fixed front blade sights. Knurling to the safety lever typical of World War I era and post-war Walther Model 4 pistols. Left slide legend reads SELBSTLADE-PISTOLE CAL 7,65. WALTHER'S PATENT. above the WALTHER banner. Item shows standard {Crown/N} commercial proofs to the left chamber, left slide, and left frame. F.W.K. initials to the left triggerguard indicate the pistol was manufactured under license by F.W. Kessler of Suhl. Serial numbers match on the frame, slide, and barrel bushing.
