Lot Description

**Izhevsk Mosin Nagant M91/30 PU Sniper

7.62x54mmR. 29" barrel length. SN: MOR0001485 (Importer Assigned). Blued metal arsenal refinish overall in straight wrist lacquered Birchwood stock featuring optics rail to left receiver and mounting standard post and globe front and tangent rear notch sights. Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle mounting a turned-down bolt handle and 3.5X magnification PU pattern scope. Barrel shank displays the Soviet {Sickle and Hammer} acceptance proof along with the {Arrow in Triangle} marking of the Izhevsk Arsenal below a date of 1943. Right barrel shank shows a weak {Circle C} Sniper proof, while the left barrel has had the original scope number crossed out, and the current optic number struck beside it as part of refinishing. Original Cyrillic serial number on barrel shank corresponds to K7655. Bolt, buttplate, and magazine floorplate match the barrel shank. Item shows importer marks to the receiver reading KO-91/30 MADE IN RUSSIA/7,62x54R followed by the Cyrillic VP mark of the Molot plant, and GIS within diamond Russian proof marking followed by 12, indicating the rifle was proofed in 2012. Proof mark additionally appears on the right barrel shank. Rifle comes in a cardboard shipping box with a Soviet two-chamber oiler coated in Cosmoline, and the PU scope with serial number 46937 below a {Star/Sickle and Hammer} followed by model marking 91/30. Importer mark to the forward barrel reads I.O. INC. MONROE NC.
