Lot Description

Lot of Four Late 19th Century Revolvers Including: Marlin, Hopkins & Allen, and Reid

1.) Refinished Marlin XXX 1872 Revolver. .30RF. 3" barrel. SN: 1971. Nickel plated refinish overall mounting sanded rosewood birdshead grips with spur trigger mounting half moon front blade and rear notch sights. Single action five-shot tip-up single action revolver with fluted cylinder. Left barrel struck with single line Marlin address and patent mark. Top of the fluted barrel rib marked XXX STANDARD 1872.

2.) Hopkins & Allen Ranger No 2 Revolver. .30RF. 2.75" barrel. SN: 1933. Nickel plated finish with checkered hardrubber birdshead grips with spur trigger and knurled trigger and hammer. Single action five-shot loading gate revolver featuring half moon front blade and topstrap notch sights. Topstrap is marked HOPKINS & ALLEN M'F'G CO/RANGER NO. 2, while the top of the barrel is marked PAT MARCH 28 1871. Front of the cylinder pin has sheared off and it cannot be removed.

3.) Non-Functional American Bull Dog Revolver. .32RF. 2.5" barrel. SN: 9531. Nickel plated finish with {Eagle} logo hardrubber grips mounting half-moon front blade and topstrap notch sights on an octagonal barrel. Top of the barrel marked AMERICAN BULL DOG.

4.) Non-Functional Reid's My Friend Knuckle Duster. .22RF. 1.5" cylinder chambers (barrel). SN: 3957. Silver plated brass finish to the frame with a blued cylinder featuring the ring shaped frame of Reid's revolvers with engraved embellishments to the frame. Single action seven-shot revolver with spiral scroll engraving to the frame flanks, sunburst to the muzzle and recoil shield. Left frame is marked MY FRIEND. Serial numbers on the frame and cylinder match.
