Receiver is dated 1943 and shows the Tula Arsenal {Star} marking with an overlapping {Slash Box} arsenal rebuild mark. Scattered Soviet inspection markings visible overall with original serial number on the barrel shank in Cyrillic corresponding to VA6449. Stock, bolt, triggerguard plate, and bolt handle have been force matched to the receiver serial number. Magazine has shows two different serial numbers and does not match the rifle. Comes with postwar sling. Importer mark to the right receiver reads SVT 1940 7.62X54R MADE IN RUSSIA C.D.I. SWAN. VT with Importer applied serial number at the right rear receiver.
