Bolt-action semi-detachable magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips, and mounting a brass buttplate. Left receiver shows the electropenned model marking NO4MKI(F)FTR, indicating it went through the British "factory through repair" system at Fazakerley. Original stamped markings still visible. Partial date of rebuild corresponds to 1949. Left stock ring is struck M.1944, indicating it was manufactured in 1944 originally. The receiver, bolt, and magazine serial numbers were force matched during re-arsenal. Rifle comes with a British {Broad Arrow} marked khaki sling, and is CAI import marked at the left muzzle.
