**Carcano Modelo 1891 Rifle
World War I
6.5x52mm. 30.7" barrel length. SN: QH7743. Blued metal arsenal refinish with polished bolt set in a walnut straight wrist stock mounting adjustable rear leaf notch and front blade sights. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine charged with en-bloc clips. Manufacturer markings to the breech octagonal include the maker TERNI to the top, serial number to the left, and a date mark of 17, indicating the rifle was made in 1917. Further markings to the left stock include a stamp to the left receiver reading OFF. COST. ART/ROMA/RIPARAZIONE with a date of 1926, indicating the rifle was rebuilt in 1926. Stock serial number has been force matched to the rifle. Left side of the stock shows two ME inspection stamps and has the dates 1918 and 1917 scratched into the stock forward of and behind the wrist. Comes with a leather sling
