**Soviet Russian Mosin-Nagant M91/59 Carbine
World War II
7.62x54R. 21" barrel. SN: LG6455 (Importer applied. Original Cyrillic remains crisp). Blued metal arsenal refinish overall with polished bolt set in straight wrist birchwood stock and mounting rifle length adjustable rear leaf notch and front post and globe sights. Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Barrel shank is struck with the Soviet {Sickle and Hammer} marking followed by the 1891/59 mark indicating it was a standard M91/30 rifle cut down to carbine. Rifle shows the {Izhevsk} factory marking and an original production date of 1945. Rear sight markings past 1000 meters have been milled down. Serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt, and magazine floorplate. Stock features a splice behind the tang, and a dowel rod splice through the wrist. Comes with the leather loops for a Soviet pattern sling and a cleaning rod. Importer mark to barrel reads RUSSIA 7.62X54R/C.A.I. ST. ALB. VT.
