Lot Description
**U.S. Springfield Model 1903
.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 1024343. Parkerized metal refinish with varnished and sanded straight-wrist Walnut stock and full length upper handguard. Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle mounting adjustable ladder rear notcha nd front blade sights, the latter with a sight cover. Receiver is marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903. with the barrel showing the SA/{Ordnance Bomb}/8-27 mark, indicating the barrel was made in August, 1927. Serial number corresponds to a date of production in 1918, indicating the barrel was replaced. Stock shows rounded edges and varnish overall, indicating it was sanded and refinished, and lacks any recognizable cartouches or markings. Serial number marked on the bolt body via electropen. Left receiver shows further electropen marks reading STRONOR7928K. Comes with leather Pattern 1907 sling, and a combination oiler and bore snake kit in the butt. Buttplate was produced with the smooth pattern, and had punch dot and line texturing added non professionally by hand.
