Top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address and patent mark reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.,/PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884 JUNE 5, 1900 JULY 4, 1905. Colt's VP monogram proof mark appears on the left trigger, and the {Rampant Colt} logo to the left sideplate.
