Lot Description

**Scarce E/140 and MI marked FN Frame C-Block ac45 Code Walther P.38 Pistol
World War II

9mm Para. 4.9" barrel. SN: 1455c. Blued metal finish with horizontally serrated black Bakelite grips and factory standard iron sights. Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Markings include the P.38 model mark on left slide and ac 45 code following the serial number. Left triggerguard has been struck MI with further marks including {Eagle/140} waffenamt mark on the left frame that has been overstamped by the serial number. These markings indicate that the frame was manufactured in Belgium by FN. A number of Belgian made frames were supplied to Walther during World War II, while Mauser tended to receive slides. Further marks include {Eagle/359} waffenamt on the right locking lug, left barrel, and right slide. Serial numbers match. Item is missing the trigger bar spring, and the slide stop occasionally catches on the slide rail.

This lot is located in Cincinnati.
