Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left slide displays the P.38 model marking followed by ac/41 code indicating it was made by Walther in 1941. Further markings include the {WWII German Eagle} stamp on the right slide, left barrel, and left locking lug. The {Eagle/359} mark appears in two places on the right slide, below the bolt, firing pin and indicator cover, below safety lever, on the hammer, slide stop, trigger, left frame, right barrel, and right locking lug. Barrel has been marked with a bore gauge reading of 8,83. Serial numbers match on the slide, barrel, locking lug, and frame. Magazine serial number does not match.
