Upper left side of the action body is marked U.S. PROPERTY with the left rear action body struck S/1942, indicating it was made by Savage Arms in the United States, and provided as lend-lease aid. Left flat of the action body shows a struck model marking reading No4MKI* with new marking applied afterward reading No4MKI/3(F)FTR/53 followed by the serial number. This latter mark indicates the rifle went through factory repair after World War II. Receiver ring is struck with the Indonesian {Star} property marking. Serial numbers match on major components. Caliber mark at left side of action body reads 303 BRIT with importer mark just above triggerguard reading IAC ALEX VA.
