Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with Mannlicher pattern en-bloc clips. Left receiver is struck with the maker marking St. Etienne followed by model marking MLE 1892. Right barrel additionally marked MA S 1897, indicating the rifle was made in 1897. Further marks include SG initials to left barrel and circled M and F inspection stamps. Rifle comes with an unmarked leather sling and the cleaning rod. Serial number of the bolt matches the barrel. Stock shows signs of sanding and refinishing.
