Lot Description

Wang Zhang (Chinese, Late 19th-Early 20th Century)
汪漢云(晚清-民國)金帶圖瓷板
(Chinese, Late 19th-Early 20th Century)

San Duo Hui (Three auspicious immortals gathering), enameled porcelain plaque, inscribed with title Jin Dai Tu, and dated to a Dingyou year, probably equivalent to 1897 upper right and with one seal, and with gift inscription from Liang Xiguang and one seal upper center. Hardwood frame with metal hanger.

Note:
Wang Zhang, courtesy name Han Yun, studio name Qing Yun Xuan, was said to have worked for the Imperial workshops during the Guangxu period, and possibly continued to work into the early Republic period. He was known for a wide variety of subjects including figural works, particularly court ladies, and bird and flower paintings.
