A Chinese Parcel-Gilt Bronze Figure of Guanyin, Ming Dynasty
明 銅局部鎏金觀音坐像
Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)

Grasping a lingzhi stem in both hands, wearing a long flowing robe, the open chest draped in an elaborate necklace, the face with a benevolent expression detailed with downcast eyes beneath high arched brows and above a bud mouth, flanked by long pendulous ears and surmounted by a crown, all seated on a lion on lotus petal lappet base.
Height 15 inches., 38.1 cm.
