17th/18th Century
Modelled in the form of a young boy with parcel-gilt border to his open robe and parcel-gilt shoes; seated on the back of a Qilin with stylized mane and tail, dark brown-black patina. With a later associated carved hardwood stand said to be from a Japanese Exposition of 1917.
Height of bronze 11 5/8 in., 29.5 cm.
