An Unusual Chinese Painted Pottery Jiaodou Vessel, Han Dynasty
漢 彩繪灰陶鐎斗
Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.)

The painted pattern of white and red feathers each outlined with grey black stokes and accented with red and right dots, the bird-head-shaped spout with a conical-shaped crown.
Overall width 8 x height 5 in., 20.3 x 12.7 cm.
