**Japanese Arisaka Type 2 Paratrooper Rifle with Intact Mum and Matching Bolt
World War II
7.7mm. 26" barrel. SN: 12829. Blued finish, laminated Asian hardwood pistol-gripped stock. Bolt action, fixed magazine fed, two-piece parachutist's take down battle rifle. Chamber with Imperial Chrysanthemum intact and kana for "Type 2". Receiver with Nagoya Arsenal kana and serial number 12829. Bolt, bayonet lug and magazine floor plate with matching partial serial number 829. Firing pin mismatched, numbered 934, dust cover also mismatched with a partially legible number that appears to be 222. Barrel and take down frame yoke both with matching mating numbers 538. Take down wedge is numbered 4. Rifle is equipped with the folding wing anti-aircraft ladder rear sight graduated to 15, a blade front sight with protective ears, a sling swivel on the reverse of the butt and swivel on the reverse of the lower barrel band. Rifle retains its cleaning rod.
