Lock marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD with a {Spread Winged Eagle} and breechblock marked U.S./MODEL/1884. No cartouche or firing proof are present in the wood. Breech with V/P/{Eagle Head} inspection marks as well as additional small P and A marks. Rifle features a low arch breech with steel firing pin, three-click tumbler, smooth trigger, two-piece triggerguard and solid buttplate without trap door. The rifle includes a correct pattern cleaning rod.
