Lot Description
**1943 Izhevsk Made Model 1895 Nagant with Holster and Cleaning Rod
7.62x38mmR. 4.5" barrel length. SN: NG02122 (Importer assigned). Blued metal arsenal refinish overall with checkered Bakelite grips and lanyard loop to butt. Double action loading gate revolver featuring a seven-shot cylinder and Nagant patented gas seal mechanism. Sights consist of a semi-circular rear notch and dovetailed front blade sight. Left frame is struck with the Factory original serial number which corresponds to the Cyrillic number AL1586, and matches on the cylinder and frame. Left frame further shows the {Arrow within Circle} marking of the Izhevsk Arsenal above the date marking 1943. Item shows scattered Soviet inspection markings along with boxed re-arsenal stamps to the left frame and sideplate. Right frame exhibits an importer assigned serial number and the importer marking NAGANT 1895/7,62 NAGANT CAL./MADE IN RUSSIA/C.D.I. SWAN. VT. Item comes in a post-war Kirza (Soviet synthetic leather) holster with visible inspection stamps to the flap. Included in the holster is the blued cleaning rod with visible Soviet arsenal marks.
