Simple iron furniture includes a flat two-screw side plate, oversized triggergaurd, plain buttplate, nose cap and corrugated ramrod pipes which secure an iron button head ramrod. Stock with rudimentary raised, carved aprons around the tang and at the tails of both the lock and counterpane. While these long barreled, simple percussion trade guns saw use around the world from the latter part of the 19th century through the early 20th century, this form is most associated with the African trade.
