Lot Description

A group of three Federal silver punch ladles, William Garret Forbes (1751-1840), New York, NY, Isaac Hutton (1766-1855), Albany, NY, and John Bedford (active 1782-1834), Fishkill, NY, circa 1790

Each with bright-cut decoration; comprising a ladle by William Garret Forbes, with drop at bowl back, engraved with monogram, “JSB,” marked; a ladle by Isaac Hutton, with drop at bowl back, engraved with a crest in the form of a masted ship, marked; and a ladle by John Bedford, with drop at bowl back, engraved with monogram, “AP,” marked three times to underside of handle.
