A Japanese lacquered and painted wood figure of Jizo Bosatsu, Edo period or earlier 日本漆器木雕 江戶或更早

The youthful figure with shaved head, a gentle smile on his face, glass-inset eyes, clad in flowing robes bearing traces of roundel decoration, a tama jewel on a lotus blossom on his raised hand, a monk's staff in the other, all raised on a lotus base.
