Philadelphia: Thomas Hunter, 1876. First edition. Oblong 12mo. Illustrated with 52 tinted lithographic plates; each plate with accompanying text. Full contemporary red morocco, stamped in blind and in gilt, joints and boards rubbed, corners lightly worn, boards bowed; all edges gilt; marbled endpapers; scattered light soiling to text and plates.

A handsome copy of this guide to the Centennial Exhibition, held in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, from May 10 to November 10, 1876, featuring lovely lithographic plates showcasing the various pavilions. This was the first official World's Fair held in the United States, held to coincide with the centennial anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
