A Wedgwood Queensware Partial Tea Service, UK, circa 1875
Earthenware
Photolithographic decoration with drawings of deer by Henry Hope Crealock (1831-1891); this process was used briefly by Wedgwood in 1875-6, but was deemed too time consuming for regular production
Comprising two “Satsuma” shape teapots, a “Satsuma” shape lidded sugar bowl, a waste owl, saucer, and serving tray
Some pieces with impressed Wedgwood marks, all with handwritten marks and captions
H: 5 ½ in. (the teapots), W: 17, L: 12 ¾ in.
