Lot Description

A group of five Renaissance Revival silver table items, Hanau, Germany and Providence, RI, late 19th / early 20th century

Comprising a tea strainer, by Storck & Sinsheimer (1874-1926), the surround decorated with repoussé foliate motifs interspersed with resplendent figures, marked to underside, somewhat rubbed; a goblet with figural handle, probably Georg Roth & Co. (1891-c. 1919), decorated with repoussé foliate motifs, marked to rim with crowned A, face profile, and “Sterling/ Germany”; a gilt-washed berry spoon with repoussé fruit to bowl and figural handle, marked, “Germany”; a serving fork with cast and pierced handle with Renaissance motifs, the prongs issuing from baronial interior scene, indistinct marks to front, marked, “25/ Sterling” to underside; and a gilt-washed sterling silver reticulated serving spoon, composed of foliate motifs and masques, by Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, RI, last quarter 19th century, marked.
