Lot Description

A 14K Yellow Gold, Diamond, and Enamel Brooch Victorian, c.1890

A 14K yellow gold antique Victorian era brooch designed as a blue enamel circle under a flower crafted from white gold and rose-cut diamonds, with a further halo of rose-cut diamonds on the outside. Diamonds are near colorless (G - J), with SI - I clarity. Total estimated weight of diamonds: 1.20 carats.

Width: 1 1/8in; Weight: 6.8 dwt.

Overall Condition: Scratches and signs of wear consistent with age, testing as 14K, with maker's marks, clasps in working order.

Diamonds: Ninety-five rose-cut diamonds measuring from approximately 1.12mm at the smallest to approximately 4.95mm at the largest, near colorless (G - J), with SI - I clarity. Total estimated weight of diamonds: 1.20 carats.
