A pair of Chinese famille rose-decorated black ground jars and covers, Qing dynasty 粉彩墨地大蓋罐一對 清
Both decorated with a band of lappet above the foot ring, the body adorned with two large cartouches and four shaped panels of plants, rockwork, and birds, all against a black ground with lotus scrolls, covers bear similar decoration, surmounted by a lotus bud-shaped finial.
