(ii), 140, (2) pp. Original light blue cloth, stamped in blind and in silver, spine faded, boards unevenly faded and toned, light abrasions along bottom edge of front board; headcap lightly worn; in original first issue dust-jacket, scattered wear along edges, short closed in top edge of rear panel, small chip in top of spine panel, slight offsetting on rear flap. Hanneman 24A A handsome copy of one of Hemingway's most enduring works. The novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953, and contributed to Hemingway's winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature the following year.
