Lot Description
A tooled and colored leather-bound hymnal together with a large leather-bound Swiss Reform Lutheran bible; The hymnal printed by Ernst Ludwig Baisch, Philadelphia, PA, 1774, the bible printed in Basel, Switzerland, 1736
The leather-bound hymnal worked with heart and flower and signed to cover, "IHW 74," inscribed and dated to front sheet, "Maria Catarina...1796," and to rear sheet, "Maria Catarina...geboren Jun 29...1777"; the bible variously inscribed and dated to Privilegium sheet, including, "Enos F. Nase/ Schlicter Pa/ Nov. 17th 1888."
