Comprising a needlework sampler, worked with polychrome threads on a linen ground, showcasing registers of various patterns and techniques including a white-work or lace border along the lower edge, also with alphabet and inscribed and dated, "By This You See My Parents Took Great Care of Mee/ Hannah Taylor 1671," framed; a canvaswork portrait of Queen Anne of England (1665-1714), inscribed, "Ann Gram/ Dei Regina", framed; and a small needlework memorial picture, worked by Charlotte Huffnagle (1770-1860), with silk threads on silk ground, reverse-glass painted mat, framed, the backboard inscribed with family history, "About 1780-1790/ Died at 90- 1860/ born 1770/ Worked by Miss Charlotte Huffnagle Lancaster City, Pa/ Aunt of Chas (Charles) Huffnagle, MD Con (?) Charlotte was born to Pieter (1744-1806) and Charlotte (1746-1826) Huffnagle. Pieter's father was one of the first settlers of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
