[Declaration of Independence] [New York] Floyd, William Autograph Document, signed

Middletown (New York), June 4, 1781. Single sheet, 4 1/2 x 8 in. (114 x 203 mm). Autograph document, signed by Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New York, William Floyd (1734-1821), obligating himself "to pay or Cause to be paid all Such Sum of Money both principle and Interest in Specie as the Bearer Mr. William Phillips Shall give his Receipt for on the back of this Obligation..."; endorsed on the verso by William Phillips and Josiah Smith. Creasing from old folds. In mat and in frame, 11 x 15 in. (279 x 381 mm).
