First and limited edition, #9/10 numbered copies (from a total edition of 150), signed by Searle and with an original illustration in ink and colored pencil of a cat atop a pile of books, on verso of title-page. 4to. (iv), 124 pp., (2) pp. Publisher's deluxe binding of full navy blue leather; top edge stained blue; orange endpapers; in price-clipped dust jacket. Related ephemera paper-clipped to rear free endpaper.

A fine copy of beloved English artist and satirist Ronald Searle's whimsical guide to the "wicked world of Book Collecting."

Exceedingly rare. One of only ten such copies produced and only the fourth copy to be offered at auction.
