(xvi), (292) pp. Illustrated with color frontispiece and 12 color plates, all mounted, and numerous in-text black and white illustrations. Publisher's white cloth, decorated in gilt, boards lightly soiled, spine darkened; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; illustrated vellum-style endpapers, rear foxed and stained; one rose-colored cloth tie wanting; previous owner's inscription within printed book-plate on front paste-down.
