A silver tankard William Young (d. 1805), Philadelphia, PA, circa 1770

Of baluster form, footed base, with stepped and domed lid, pierced thumb-piece, scrolled handle with lapped detail and shield-form terminal, stamped twice with maker's mark, "W Y," to base and under rim near handle; engraved cipher "J.E.N." to body.
