Contemporary dark brown calf, morocco spine label, stamped in blind and in gilt, rebacked, boards and extremities rubbed; marbled edges; contemporary ownership signature and inscription on front free endpaper, four-inch closed tear to bottom of same; additional contemporary ownership signature on title-page; scattered minor soiling to text; bottom corners of pp. 415/416 and 511/512 clipped, but not affecting text; in cloth slip case.
