(ii), 140, (2) pp. Original light blue cloth, stamped in blind and in silver, soiling on front board; all edges trimmed; bookseller's ticket at bottom of front free endpaper; in original first issue dust-jacket, scattered wear along panel edges, short tear at top of spine panel, two small stains on rear panel, spine slightly darkened. A lovely copy of one of Hemingway's most enduring works. The novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953, and contributed to Hemingway's winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature the following year.
