Two works: George Washington at the Altar of Liberty copperplate printed handkerchief and "The Effect of Principle" copperplate printed handkerchief The first, printed by Charles Gray or Colin Gillespie (Scottish), circa 1819, the second, Germantown Printing Co., PA, circa 1806

The George Washington at the Altar of Liberty handkerchief, sepia on white cotton, possibly printed by Charles Gray or Colin Gillespie in Glasgow, Scotland after a drawing by Charles Buxton (1768-1833) and Gilbert Stuart (1755-1828) and engraving by Cornelius Tiebout (American, 1777-1832), in 1783; "The Effect of Principle/ Behold the Man" handkerchief, brown on white cotton; both framed.
