Lot Description
A Chinese yellow-ground dish and a yellow-ground teapot and cover 黄釉小盘和黄釉带盖茶壶一件 Guangxu mark(dish), Jurentang mark(teapot), and possibly of the period ???(??), ????(??), ?????
The dish centered with rockwork, various flowers and bamboo, with two birds perch upon the top of the rock, all inside a quatrelobe reserve, surrounded by lotus sprays against scroll-incised yellow-glazed ground; the yellow enamel to the reverse incised with two sinuous dragons pursuing flaming pearl, gilt rim, underglaze blue six-character mark to the underside; the teapot of slender form, decorated with quatrelobe reserves enclosing lotus, chrysanthemum, and bat, with floating round medallion filled with flowers and birds, against a yellow-glazed scroll-incised ground, four-character square mark to the underside.
