An unusual Japanese gilt, patinated and engraved metal-mounted cylindrical container 日本加漆鎏金圆筒 Edo/early Meiji period ?????
The metal mounts finely engraved with minogame, cranes, pine and bamboo, each mount lobe centered by a Tokugawa mon, two large rings at each end, ends also engraved with Tokugawa mon; the hollow core of gilt wood with silk covering.
