A very finely executed Japanese lacquer "Inro" box 日本时绘"印笼"盒子一件 Meiji period ??
The tall rectangular body with rounded edges, lacquered and inlaid with an "inro" decorated with a bearded man with elaborate floral pattern robes on a mule, inset malachite "ojime", and a red lacquered lion seal-form "netsuke", all in gold and colored takamaki-e, all on a hirameji ground; gilt metal ring mounts in the form of radiating Daikoku hammers on two sides; nashiji interior; Japanese wood box.
