The scene after an engraving by Benjamin Smith (British, 1786-1833), after the original painting by George Romney (British, 1734-1802), reproduced for John Boydell's collection of Shakespeare prints (first published 1796), depicting Prospero and Miranda in Act I, Scene I of The Tempest, presented in a giltwood frame.
