Surmounted by a domed cover, the baluster form vase with gilt decoration on a cobalt ground, the body painted with a figural scene, signed 'H. Poitevin,' opposite a view of a picturesque ruin, mounted with twin gilt bronze handles suspending loose rings and raised on gilt bronze base, with spurious Sèvres marks to underside of cover and base.
