A Classical figured mahogany and bird's eye maple secretary bookcase Attributed to Anthony G. Quervelle (1789-1856), Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830
Carved and turned cornice, above two glazed doors with Gothic tracery, all over lower case with upper document/writing drawer above desk drawer containing small interior drawers and compartments, with two storage drawers below; the lower case with carved floral and leaf motifs, two corner columns with ionic capitals and alternating rope carving, on scrolled front feet.
