Full red marbled calf, stamped in gilt, brown morocco spine labels, joints lightly rubbed, spines slightly dry and blistered; all edge gilt; gilt dentelles; by Riviere & Son; frontispiece skillfully repaired in first volume, tidemark in upper fore-edge of pp. 317-329 in same.

A lovely set of Irish painter and translator Charle Jervas's (printed here as "Jarvis" due to a printer's error) Don Quixote, considered the most faithful English translation at the time of it's publication.
