(New York): Harper & Row, Publishers, 1963. First edition (with Library of Congress catalog card number "63-21253" printed on the title page). Oblong 4to. Unpaginated. Profusely illustrated; color registration sound. Original quarter grey cloth and illustrated boards; all edges trimmed; patterned endpapers; in original first-issue dust-jacket, with $3.50 price and "40-80" and "1163" on front flap, as well as three-paragraph blurbs on front and rear flaps, and no mention of Caledcott Award, darkening to spine and extremities, small short closed tear at bottom edge of front panel.
