Sutherland after C.G. Schuetz (plate 16 [as per Tooley] "Bornhofen" bound in as frontispiece; lacking plate 12, "Braubach" facing p. 105); with tissue guards; plates watermarked J. Whatman, dated 1818; plate two dated September 1819, plate three dated October 1819. Text watermarked 1817-19. Lacking folding map at rear. Contemporary full diced russia, stamped in blind and in gilt, rebacked, brown and black morocco spine labels, boards rubbed and blistered; all edges trimmed; marbled endpapers; offsetting onto title-page; scattered soiling in margins of text; minor offsetting from plates; scattered dampstaining along fore-edge; small repair at bottom pp. 73/74.
